The New Remuneration System For
Civil Servants

Nowadays,
the new remuneration system for civil servants becomes the topic of
conversation among many indonesians. I personally approve that system because
it actually will enhance motivation and responsibility of civil servants.
First,
by that system civil servants will be more motivatied to work. They have big
motivation to be the better than before because they compete each other. Furthermore, They will know that their work quality
is a factor whether they may get a punishment or reward. There have been many
cases in which the goverment uses the old system which causes something unusual
is happened. One of those cases is a case in Jambi in which there are some civil
servants went to the entertainment
center during office hour as reported in several news media outlet.
Second,
that new system can also make civil servants more responsible than before. They
also can change their habit to be better. Yesterday, they maybe were not too
responsible for their job because everyone got the same salary inspite of diffirent in work
quality. In effect, it made them just do something usual. However, Right now
reward is only given to civil servants who are responsible for their work and
have many achievments. It is actually a new challenge for them.
Thus,
it is really a good thing if the goverment gives a reward to civil servants who
have a good motivation and responsibility. I believe that it can increase their
work quality. The remuneration system is also really useful for them and
society.
